Eldercare Services |
Goodall ElderCare Services began its
mission to provide long-term care and medical services to our senior citizens back in 1967, when it was the first in the
state to provide skilled care. We've continued to grow and adapt to the needs of our community. In 1997, we opened the
Pavilion, one of the leading centers for the care of those with Alzheimer's Disease or related dementia.
Today, many other new, important
services are available. In addition, our facilities have undergone important renovations recently, with the end result
being a home-like, comfortable environment, along with increased space to provide services.
The latest response to our patients'
needs is Mayflower Place, a collaborative effort of the Sanford Housing Authority Development Corporation and Goodall
ElderCare Services. This affordable assisted-living apartment complex was completed September, 2000.
The Newton Center for Rehabilitation
and Nursing Care - High quality
care, dedicated staff family education and involvement and recent renovations make this program special. This program is

Newton Center Nursing Care

stressing compassion, respect and dignity.
Hillcrest Gardens Residential Care

activities and a high level of independence, while our skilled staff works to meet their changing needs.

people with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia, the Pavilion offers its residents and their families a high quality

Alzheimer's Support Groups
- We understand that living with
Alzheimer's Disease is not easy and that sometimes, you just need someone to listen. We offer two support groups monthly,
one on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m., and another on the third Wednesday of each month from at 10 a.m.
Call 490-7600 to find out more.
Stroke/Head Injury Support Group
- Anyone recovering from a brain
attack and/or those who care for them are invited to participate in this group. It meets on the first Monday of each month
at 2 p.m. and the third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. For information on this program, call 324-4310.
Lifeline - Life is unpredictable, and Lifeline, an easy-to-use-Personal Response Emergency Service
can give peace of mind to medically frail or disabled persons living alone. Lifeline supplies quick assistance when it is
needed, and calls are monitored locally at Goodall Hospital 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
For less than a dollar per day, Lifeline uses a voice monitor response
unit and a waterproof Personal Help Button that is worn around the neck or on the wrist like a watch. Worn at all times, a
press of this button signals the response unit, the call is answered by a trained Goodall professional, and within minutes,
brings a response and appropriate help for medical or household emergencies.
After a fall or in an emergency, people can lose precious time
searching for a hand held phone, or emergency numbers. With Lifeline, access to help is always within reach.
For more information or to schedule an installation, please call Pat
Sicard, Lifeline Program Manager at 207-490-7693.
